Haley (managing editor, writer) started DC Style Is Real in 2010 as a creative outlet during a funemployment spell and also as a time saving device. When people asked what was going on that weekend, she could just point them to a delightful new DC blog: hers.
Joel (contributing writer) is a native Washingtonian and knows more about DC than you do. A longstanding supporter and frequent columnist here at DC Style is Real, he writes about everything under the sun — art, shows, bars, restaurants, you name it. Blogging isn’t his only talent, however – he published his first novel Fingerprints in 2010 and launched a DC-based t-shirt line in the fall of 2011. So yeah, he’s kind of a big deal.
Marie (contributing writer, advice columnist) is a recreational blogger and longstanding supporter of DC Style is Real. She writes about arts, culture, restaurants and occassionally attempts to better the world one “thank you” at a time by penning a Modern Manners column. You can find Marie crashing museum parties about town or frequenting the local establishments on H Street, NE. Follow her on Twitter.
Juliet (contributing writer, emerging DC butterfly) is a native New Yorker currently exploring the rough and tumble of Washington, DC. She is also a compulsive blogger and avid pop-culture quoter. Read more of her blogs and quotes about faith, life and randomness.
