About Us

With an open and rotating team of guest writers from throughout DC, Managing Editor Haley Fults has been spotlighting the best of DC food, culture and nightlife since 2010.

DC Style Is Real’s community-driven coverage of the city’s surprising, exciting (and often free!) delights led to it being named one of DC’s best blogs by Spotted by Locals, and one of the first DC sources for Google’s Field Trip app.

Haley moved to DC for grad school and loves to shine a light on DC’s vibrant cultural scene. She lives on the Hill with the cutest dog on the block.

Make sure to get in touch if you would like to write for the blog or if you have an event you’d like to recommend. Send mail to dcstyleisreal@gmail.com.

  1. Hi, So glad I found your blog! I’ve been enjoying reading your posts…it’s nice to read a blog about D.C that isn’t completely about politics!

  2. Hi Haley, Joel, Marie and Juliet!

Hope your week so far is fantastic! We are Sabun Home, an up and coming D.C. area interior design house, and Turkish bed and bath boutique.

We launched our Georgetown store in August of 2013, and have been expanding our product line ever since. If you haven’t heard the buzz, we have been featured in both The Georgetown Patch as well as, DC Modern Luxury Magazine.

We would love to offer you a special opportunity to experiment with our brand new luxury line of Sabun Home olive-oil based soaps and pestemals (Turkish linen and cotton blend towels), and share your experience with your array of fans and followers.

We have an assortment of new organic olive oil soaps coming in from Turkey, including: clay, lemon and mint, chamomile and lavender. Each retailing for about $11.00. If you are interested spreading the word of our quality products, feel free to email us with a convenient shipping address!

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you so much!

Hi there! Was hoping to ask you a question via email, would you mind sending me a note at the address I’ve provided? Thank you!

  5. I have a charity fashion show coming up August 7th at Carnegie Library,a portion of the proceeds will benefit Sasha Bruce House. I would like to know, if someone from your style or fashion Department can come out and cover the event?
