Nontraditional “Heartbreaker” Bash at Pyramid

_SVP8025.jpgPyramid Atlantic takes an over-the-top spin on Valentine’s Day for its HyBall (Hyattsville Ball). Whether you find this holiday sweet or saccharine, HEARTBREAKER’s got you covered. In addition to being a hilarious art party, this annual bash helps raise money to support Pyramid’s facility and programs.

HEARTBREAKER takes place on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 8-11 pm. Tickets are $40 and include complimentary beer and wine. Tickets at pyramidatlanticartcenter.org/hyball2019 or by calling 301-608-9101. Pyramid Atlantic is located at 4318 Gallatin Street, Hyattsville, Maryland.

Attendees are encouraged to get dirty in Pyramid’s studios making jumbo valentines, rose-infused paper, and other snarky and sweet takeaways for their DIY gift bag. The over-the-top event line-up also includes heavenly harp played by Kristen Jepperson; “tunnel of love” photo ops; locally made chocolates by J.Chocolatier and Swoon Chocolates passed by costumed cupids; a dessert bar from DC Sweet Potato and Cake Love; a Love on the Cheap art show; local brews from Streetcar 82 and Franklin’s; guest mixologist Kittie Glitter with bitter and sweet concoctions; a vinyl-spinning DJ crew led by Laura Lopez; a sexy silent auction; and love, relationship, and sex advice booth with Rabbi Weiss (she’ll marry you too if you get a license—call Pyramid for details).

The sexy silent auction includes items from Artist and Craftsman, Cake Love, Chase Custom Boots, Glam Squad, Handmade Habitat, Joyful Bath Co., Nubian Hueman, Pizzeria Paradiso, Pure Palette, Sangfriod Distilling, Shea Radiance, Shine Massage, Shop Made In DC, Swoon Chocolates, and Vigilante Coffee.
