The Happy Hour Chronicles: PS7’s

Looks like somebody’s got a case of the Mondays.

Does that make you want to smash the speaker in the face?  Or just watch Office Space again?  Either way, Mondays are awful.  The worst part about Monday can be telling yourself to just get through until you can leave, going to the bar for happy hour, finding it closed, and shaking your fist impotently at the universe.

It doesn’t have to be this way!  You can go to PS7’s!

Mondays at PS7s take all the bitterness out of your outlook.  Located in a less trafficked section of Chinatown (8th and I, NW), you will probably be able to find a spot at the bar.  Happy hour lasts until close in the lounge.  Beer and wine are on special and the flatbreads are half price.  Bartender Gina Chersevani mixes up a different punch everyday to educate you in your quest for new liquor combinations.

And oh!  The burgers!  The burgers are half price!  These aren’t tossaway burgers either.  They are tall, stacked with goodness (maybe even a fried egg), and could not possibly be eaten without making a mess (sign of true burger success).

For around $10, you can have dinner, a nice buzz, and be completely rejuvenated for the week to come.  Unless it’s raining in the morning.

Four stars.
