Anacostia Arts Center is now accepting submissions from DMV artists for a group show featuring works under $500. Visual artists who work in any media are encouraged to submit. Molly Ruppert of Warehouse and Art Romp acclaim is curating this show which will be on view from August 25 through October 4 throughout the Center. There will be an opening reception on Monday, August 25 from 6-9 p.m.
Submissions MUST include:
- Your name as you would like it listed in all exhibition ephemera
- Up to 5 images, formatted as indicated below
- A complete image list with the following details for each piece:
- file name
- title
- media
- dimensions
- year
- price (Note: the Center will retain a 20% commission on all works sold to help support its arts programming. Please price accordingly.)
Submissions are due by email to cheapthrillsdc@gmail.com by August 1 by 5 p.m, and artists will be notified of acceptance by August 8. Artists must drop off selected works August 12-16 between 10 am – 8 pm. and August 17 10 am -3 pm. Artworks must be ready to hang when dropped off.
Format images as follows:
- files must be jpegs
- size files to approximately 3 x 5 inches at 300 dpi
- name files in this format: DouglassFrederick1.jpg, DouglassFrederick2.jpg, etc.
