Wednesday, August 10, Villian & Saint in Bethesda hosts the Daniel Bennet Group for an evening of a “mix of Jazz, Folk, and Minimalism.” Daniel Bennett Group is currently touring to promote their newest album, Sinking Houseboat Confusion. The Daniel Bennett Group has been featured in the Boston Globe, NPR, First Coast Living (NBC), Yahoo Voices, Timeout New York, and the Village Voice, and they are happy to be playing DC!

The Daniel Bennet Group reports especially enjoying the DC music scene. “We recently performed at Bethesda Blues and Jazz Club and the Alexandria Library Concert Series. I have noticed that the DC public is VERY informed (no surprise) about new music. The DC music scene is world class and very diverse in so many ways. It’s really exciting to tour the capitol region.”
For very reasonably prices tickets ($5 in advance, $7 at the door), you will be listening to world-class jazz, influenced by surf rock and avant-pop. I agreed with the fine folks of Time Out New York and found the music “hypnotic” in the best possible way.
