Anacostia Community Museum – 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

ACM’s award winning photographer, Susana Raab, discusses her research documenting east of the river communities and how those communities have changed over time. For more details, click here.

I Street Gallery – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities’ Fiscal Year 2016 Artist Fellowship Program exhibition will presents a broad scope of dynamic works from the grantees. Many of the works are available to purchase. For more information, click here.

Saturday, August 15

 

Harmony Hall – 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Figure as Metaphor is an exhibition featuring sculptors Adam Bradley and Sarah Wegner. The work presented highlights both individual and collaborative pieces from the artists. For details, click here.

Capitol Skyline Hotel Pool – 5 p.m.

Join WPA for SynchroSwim 2015, a synchronized swimming performance art competition. Participants are not the typical synchronized swimmers, however, they bring creativity and enthusiasm! For more information, click here.
