On April 22, 2017, over 1,500 people from the Foggy Bottom community will gather at Lisner Auditorium on the campus of The George Washington University for a full-day, TED-inspired experience organized by a team of 50 undergraduates featuring over 30 live presentations, artistic performances, and interactive exhibits. All presentations, exhibits, partnerships, and related activities and memorabilia will be centered around this year’s theme, In Metamorphosis. Tickets are available through the Lisner Auditorium box office for $20.

TEDxFoggyBottom is one of the largest student-organized TEDx events in the United States. Since 2011, a team of 50 GW undergraduates come together to create a unique thematic experience encouraging the world’s most influential innovators, thinkers, and doers to connect with and inspire the DC community.

Over the past seven years, TEDxFoggyBottom attendance has more than quadrupled. To date, over half of the recorded talks have been featured as TEDx Editor’s Picks, helping garner over 2.7 million unique views across YouTube.

TEDxFoggyBottom 2017: In Metamorphosis will kick off at 9AM on Saturday April 22, 2017 and conclude at 5pm on the campus of The George Washington University in Foggy Bottom. The main program is organized into four thematic sessions, each featuring approximately five unique presentations lasting 90 minutes. With this year’s “In Metamorphosis” theme, TEDxFoggyBottom will feature the innovative ideas of our community’s risk takers and unconventional changemakers. Between each session, attendees are invited to participate in our interactive exhibits, which serve as extensions of our theme and our speakers’ presentations. Interactive exhibits are held the third floor of the Marvin Center.
