It’s Hanukkah!

However you spell it, Hanukkah makes me smile.  The presents, the food, the lights, I just like it.  And no, I’m not Jewish.  But I do really like presents, food, and lights!

As it’s the first night of Hanukkah today, Cork Market and Tasting Room in U Street is hosting a sparkling wine and latke tasting at 6:00.  The tasting is free, so get yourself over there promptly after work.

For other latke offerings, check TBD’s The List.  I especially recommend Domku in Petworth for traditional Polish latkes.  If you’ll be at home keeping the home fires burning (get it?), Trader Joe’s latkes are not half bad.

Happy Hanukkah!

Domku latkes are perfect on a cold night before hunter’s stew.

    1. That just sounds amazing! It’s still cold, so still perfect for latkes and hunter’s stew to Domku.
